Activities

Each semester, participating teachers complete the following activities with their partners (partnerships include one secondary and one post-secondary teacher):

All participants meet as a group 2-3 times during the semester
Partners observe one another for one or more school days
Teachers collaborate to design, teach, and evaluate a "team essay" project, in which UNM teachers teach 2-4 times in the same secondary classroom. The partners assign an essay project, secondary students complete this assignment, and both teachers grade and review the assignment with students.
In spring semesters, participants design and lead a presentation or workshop at the annual summit, which includes representatives from New Mexico State Dept. of Education, UNM, TVI, and various secondary districts and schools.
UNM teachers design and lead a presentation or workshop at the English TA Orientation the following August.
